ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP 2010/11

Who are we?

Membership of the group is open to Clients, Co-ordinators, Designers, Contractors and other CDM duty holders, together with Building and Civil Engineering professionals and other allied organisations within the general area of the North East of England.

Membership is Corporate, with each Company required to name one person as the point of contact, and up to three people who may hold voting rights. Other employees of a Corporate Member Company are entitled to attend the ordinary (learned society) meetings of the Group.

What do we do?

The Group provides support to its members who are made up of all the classes of CDM duty holder. It gives excellent opportunity for members to become aware of those important issues to do with the planning and management of construction work and with the standards of health and safety which are required on site. Members are encouraged to attend regular seminars covering a wide range of issues which are to do with the construction process.

Clients, designers, co-ordinators and contractors, anyone with a contribution to the effective operation of the CDM Regulations, are invited to give presentations. At the seminars there is always opportunity to ask questions. HSE construction Inspectors are available to give advice and guidance.

What are our aims?

The aims of the Group are:

  • To provide support to Clients, Co-ordinators, Designers, Principal Contractors and Contractors to actively influence health and safety throughout the life cycle of construction projects.

  • To provide a catalyst for sharing experience gained in the application of the CDM Regulations.

  • To provide a forum for communication with the HSE.

How do I join?

The group has a flourishing membership, but new applicants are always welcome. Corporate Membership is currently £90 per year.

Please print out and complete the 'pdf' version of the joining form below and post it to the address given.
